Institution Overview

The overall purpose of the Montana AHEC regional centers is to connect health professions education to rural and under served communities. Programs developed at every center focus on three major objectives and activities:

Encourage youth from under served areas/populations to pursue health careers.
Encourage health professionals to select employment in rural/under served areas.
Provide CE/CME to health professionals employed in rural/under served areas.

Programs the North Central AHEC offers include REACH Camp, MedStart, Heads Up Camp, college planning assistance, AHEC Scholars, Mental Health First Aid, Youth Mental Health First Aid, Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training, and more!
