Rocky Mountain College, the first institution of higher learning in Montana, offers professional programs grounded in the liberal arts including health sciences, environmental science, education, business, equestrian studies, and aviation.   • -February 15: Montana Valedictorian Scholarship applications are due.
  • -Fridays are Open Fridays at RMC. Students may drop by the Office of Admissions without an appointment to tour campus and meet with an Admissions representative and Financial Aid between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
  • -Personal visits, tailored to specific requests and needs, are offered Monday-Saturday and may be scheduled online at visit.rocky.edu.
  • -Rolling Admission offered but students are encouraged to complete the application process by April 1 for priority consideration for institutional financial assistance.

Student Life & Community

  • -All new first-year and transfer students are paired with a peer mentor. Peer mentors are specially trained upper division students who engage one-on-one with new students and assist in the transition to college and RMC.
  • -Student support services provides comprehensive student support offering free tutoring, peer mentoring, first-year academic advising and a writing lab.
  • -Students enjoy a robust and popular outdoor recreation program throughout the year. Outdoor activities include skiing, kayaking, rock climbing, trips to Yellowstone National Park, and ice climbing. Activities are offered every weekend and many are free for students.

Campus Visit

Important Things To Know

  • -Application for admission is also the application for RMC merit scholarships and other institutional financial aid.
  • -RMC is test optional.
  • -Students who are an enrolled member of a Federally recognized tribe or identify as Native American are eligible to receive specific RMC Native and Tribal scholarships that may cover up to the cost of tuition.
  • -The RMC Promise scholarship is available to those students who qualify for the Pell Grant after submitting a FAFSA. This scholarship reduces a student's tuition cost to $2,500 without loans and is renewable annually.
  • -The average financial aid award for first-year students is $26,000.
